My Cats

I have two cats. Their names are Buddy and Opie.

Buddy is eight years old. His mother was a wild cat that had her babies in a neighbor's barn. Unfortunately, his mother got hit by a car. My family adopted him and his brother, Louie. Louie vanished about four years ago. Since Buddy was so young when his mother died, he was hand fed when he was a baby. Now he loves to be pet at the food bowl. He will even wake us up in the middle of the night just to pet him while he eats.

Opie is my other cat. He is five years old. He was also an orphan. When he was little we brought him to many different places. We would bring him to my grandmother's house and out with us. We even brought Opie to my sister's softball games. One time when we were at the softball field one of the girls asked what his name was. We told her Opie. She laughed and said "Opie Dopie." The nickname stuck. A lot of the time he deserves the nickname. He is a smart cat, though. He knows to stay away from cars and to show affection. Everyone thinks he is a beautiful cat. He is orange and white. Opie has long fur that sheds all over the place. He sleeps with me at night. One of his habits is sucking on people's armpits. He does that when he is very happy.

My cats keep me company. They are my little babies.
